About Myself A brief synopsis of my life and experience

Personal Biography

"Experience is the art of drawing without an eraser." That proverb is exactly how I live my life. I enjoy the finer things in life, but only if I procure them for myself via hard work and dedication. My job is to design digital interfaces, websites, and applications for the internet. I'm a web design aficionado, and couldn't be happier with my career. I measure my success via multiple devices, and am proud to compare myself to my competition, and likewise, my inspiration.

Early Education

After graduating high school in Asheville, NC, I headed to the respected Belk College of Business at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. There, I learned about one of my great passions— business. I was able to listen to some very influential speakers, such as the CEO of Coca-Cola, Muhtar Kent. Listening to these successful individuals really got me starting to think about my own self, and where I fit in. Soon, I began to research the likes of Walt Disney and Steve Jobs. My investigations into successful business and political leaders eventually lead to a greater understanding of just how important small business was to our country.

Higher Education

After finishing up at UNC Charlotte, I realized that my passion for web design and development shouldn't go unnurtured. During the spring of 2008, I began to research schools that specialized in the entertainment and media industry. Little did I know, what I would end up finding would change my life forever. That find happened to be Full Sail University, based in Orlando, Florida. Not only did the school look amazing, but it was based in one of my favorite cities. After flying down and taking a "backstage tour," I knew that the one goal in life that I had was to attend Full Sail. I am pleased to say that I was the proud recipient of a Bachelor of Science degree graduate with a GPA above 3.2— and, that's great for Full Sail! All in all, absolutely the best decision that I have ever made.

The World Wide Web

To this day, my passion for business, understanding of small business, and yearning to learn has never burned brighter. One of the wonderful aspects of working as a web designer and developer is that I get to meet some great people. Every business needs a web presence, and that fact has allowed me to develop friendships with many of the people that originally inspired me.

Avalux Web Development

I consider myself lucky to be a small business owner in the United States. Along with John Patsos, I co-own Avalux Web Development— a professional Orlando, Florida web development studio. We're actively looking for new projects, so be sure to either contact me via this site, or the Avalux site. I would love to speak to you about working for you!
